The first day is 1 July 2014 FY2014. USAC is an independent, not for profit corporations designed http://transition.fcc.gov/learnnet/the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as the universal service Fund (USF). USAC collects contributions from telecommunications operators and manages programs of aid intended to help communities across the country to secure access to affordable telecommunications services. USAC through management of these programmes, provides support for the high costs of companies in rural areas, the consumer is entitled, rural health care providers, schools, and libraries.
Schools and libraries (E-rate) program of the UNION makes available discount eligible schools and libraries for telecommunications services, Internet access, and internal connections. The Program is designed to ensure that schools and libraries have access to affordable telecommunications and information services. Percentage discounts are determined by the number of students in the district qualify for free and reduced price lunches (National School Lunch Program or NLSP). Library to use the number of students (total and NSLP-eligible) for the public school district in which the library is located.
