Citel's Portico TVA Receives Updated Validation from BroadSoft

The VoIP Migration Company is pleased to announce that following extensive testing with BroadSoft BroadWorks to update its earlier compatibility testing it has received validation that its Portico TVA  continues to work properly with the BroadWorks SIP interface.

The validation covers the Portico TVA Firmware Release 5.02.0 with BroadWorks Release 18.SP1 however this validation applies to all subsequent compatible maintenance releases to the Portico TVA firmware. Citel has a number of customers satisfactorily using the Portico TVA to SIP enable their legacy handsets to work on the BroadWorks platform. However a determination was made at Citel, in conjunction with the Sales Teams at BroadSoft, that it was time to update the compatibility testing. This renewed validation would ensure new customers have the same sense of comfort as existing customers already had that the transition to the BroadWorks platform using the Portico TVA would be as simple as expected.

Andrew Davies, Development Manager for Citel in the UK said "We are really pleased to have successfully completed validation with BroadWorks Release 18. We believe the wider feature set now delivered via TVA-connected phones is what organizations migrating to VoIP are looking for."

The Portico TVA offers companies the ability to migrate their customers to VoIP without the unnecessary burden of ripping and replacing existing cabling infrastructure, purchasing new IP phones and installing Power over Ethernet switches. Customers can retain their existing digital, analog and Centrex phones without removing the existing switches by SIP enabling those phones through the use of the Portico TVA.  This is a quick and cost effective means of VoIP migration.
