Switch to the new internet provider

The providers for Internet trying to deliver the best performance for the time the lowest price in order to attract the customers. It can today often get a lot more power that a good deal a few years ago, for the same money, has completed if he changes from the provider. It is a small online formality. The new provider announces the old and takes the lead on a date. Soon, the new router is connected to surf and phone calls. In addition to the download, there are also still the upload. Who would often drive from data, that came with the upload to a high-quality care.

Otherwise, you pay attention to the speed of the download, which you can keep the data from the Internet. However, We should forget that the provider while 50,000 kbit/s offering can if the line but only 16,000 kbit/s does not offer much quickly, then this would bring. Consumers, needs some searching with the lines can so so quick to find a suitable offer to this speed. In addition to these criteria, the costs of the connection and the cost of the router is to be considered. Sometimes, a provider with slightly higher fixed costs per month in fact better.

Selection criteria:

• Connection Fee
• Cost for the router
• In the download and upload Speed
• Costs for wireless and international units
• Watch TV in the package
• Fixed monthly costs
• Number portability for fixed network

Use the entire range of services

Some DSL providers expect only 10 euros extra for digital TV with some HD channels. This is very useful for the proposed entertainment. That looks like TV, which must be a DSL provider that you can offer a package with television via http://www.internetanbieter-deutschland.net. It's just nice to be able to watch on the big TV and not just a small monitor Internet. Because who can see no zubucht TV, which most programs on the Internet if the line fast enough.

The new Internet service providers should allow the old phone number can be further used. The client must have already made everything you need to get from the number with a small form. Sometimes, several numbers are available at the same price, you can still fax or consume multiple ports. If the cost for mobile networks and international calls high turn out, this is no obstacle. Almost always a very cheap dial-up can be used for international calls with it runs along via Internet, then calls to domestic burdens. And a prepaid mobile phone with affordable units must be used only for mobile calls

Patch Tuesday leaves Internet Explorer zero day untouched

It’s Patch Tuesday time again. This month Microsoft has unleashed nine new security bulletins. Nine is a reasonably high number of updates, however, only two of them are rated as Critical. So, it’s actually a little more laid back than most months, but there’s still cause for concern. There are seven security bulletins rated as Important, which affect a range of platforms and services including Active Directory, the Windows antimalware client, and the Windows Kernel. The two Critical security bulletins apply to Internet Explorer and Remote Desktop. Be prepared—most of the patches require a reboot.

Wolfgang Kandek, CTO of Qualys, suggests that IT admins focus on Internet Explorer first. “This month, the most important bulletin to apply to your infrastructure is MS13-028, which contains a new release of Internet Explorer (IE) covering all versions of the browser starting with IE6 going to IE10, and also including Windows RT, the operating system for mobile devices and tablets.”

Andrew Storms, director of security operations for nCircle (a Tripwire company), agrees that Internet Explorer deserves attention, but adds that Internet Explorer lacks its usual “patch immediately” urgency. Microsoft has assigned the underlying IE flaws with an exploit index rating of two, which indicates that Microsoft believes they are exceptionally difficult to exploit, and there’s not likely to be a successful exploit in the next 30 days.

It’s not all sunshine and roses, though, according to Marc Maiffret, CTO of BeyondTrust. First, he notes that the flaws addressed in the Internet Explorer update affect all supported versions of Internet Explorer, and warns that attackers will be working diligently to develop an exploit with such a large pool of potential targets. Maiffret also points out that the Microsoft update does not address a recently-discovered vulnerability in Internet Explorer 9, which could enable an attacker to bypass security controls and execute additional exploits.

As always, all relevant patches should be applied as soon as possible. Once a patch is released, attackers can reverse-engineer it to figure out how the vulnerability works and develop an exploit for it. It’s a race to get your PCs patched before attackers craft an exploit, and the reality is that most malware attacks use exploits against known vulnerabilities for which patches have already been developed.

Consumers and small businesses should have Automatic Updates enabled. Businesses that need to test and validate patches before deploying them should get to work. As an aside, Adobe also released updates today for ColdFusion, Flash Player, and Shockwave Player.

VoIP Hacks: Tips & Tools for Internet Telephony

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is gaining a lot of attention these days, as more companies and individuals switch from standard telephone service to phone service via the Internet. The reason is simple: A single network to carry voice and data is easier to scale, maintain, and administer. As an added bonus, it's also cheaper, because VoIP is free of the endless government regulations and tariffs imposed upon phone companies.

VoIP is simply overflowing with hack potential, and VoIP Hacks is the practical guide from O'Reilly that presents these possibilities to you. It provides dozens of hands-on projects for building a VoIP network, showing you how to tweak and customize a multitude of exciting things to get the job done. Along the way, you'll also learn which standards and practices work best for your particular environment. Among the quick and clever solutions showcased in the book are those for:

  • gauging VoIP readiness on an enterprise network

  • using SIP, H.323, and other signaling specifications

  • providing low-layer security in a VoIP environment

  • employing IP hardphones, analog telephone adapters, and softPBX servers

  • dealing with and avoiding the most common VoIP deployment mistakes

In reality, VoIP Hacks contains only a small subset of VoIP knowledge-enough to serve as an introduction to the world of VoIP and teach you how to use it to save money, be more productive, or just impress your friends. If you love to tinker and optimize, this is the one technology, and the one book, you must investigate.
