VideoCentric is pleased to announce the introduction of the LifeSize UVC Platform to their demonstration facilities in Reading, enabling the industry’s first integrated and fully virtualised software solution for HD video conferencing infrastructure to be compared, side-by-side, with competing hardware & software infrastructure solutions under one roof.
The LifeSize UVC Platform integrates the capabilities of multiple single-purpose infrastructure products into a multi-purpose software based infrastructure platform with a full suite of applications available from one common interface. These applications include the LifeSize UVC Multipoint for multiparty video calls, the LifeSize UVC Video Center for Video streaming and recording and the UVC Video Engine for Microsoft Lync, to enable HD video conferencing with Lync clients.
The LifeSize UVC Platform has been installed to enable customers to compare this video infrastructure solution against other competing solutions such as the newly installed Polycom RealPresence Platform and Cisco video infrastructure components. The installation of the platform also aims to demonstrate how LifeSize solutions integrate and interoperate with all of the world’s leading video conferencing and collaboration solutions, and to demonstrate the capabilities of a fully virtualised infrastructure.
“This Virtualised platform means customers no longer need to purchase, install and provision separate hardware devices – All the UVC applications are integrated into one platform and instantly available, with enormous flexibility enabling organisations to swell or scale back resources as times change,” commented Emily Shimell, Communications Manager at VideoCentric Ltd.
VideoCentric’s demonstration suites are already known to be the most comprehensive suite of video conferencing & collaboration solutions, including a boardroom & office demonstration suite with over 27 video systems from the worlds’ leading, and a first-of-its-kind desktop, cloud & mobility suite.
